Product description

Noval Dampers are intended for air and flue-gas handling duties where standard liquid-service valves are not the right solution. Typical applications include fume exhaust, flue-gas ducts, hot-gas generators, gas purification and other process-gas systems that require a large flow area, defined shut-off behaviour and construction adapted to the duct arrangement.

The dampers are manufactured to customer-specific technical requirements and can be supplied in round, rectangular or special constructions. AxFlow lists nominal sizes from DN50 to DN2000, operating pressure up to 500 mbar and temperature capability up to +650 °C, with higher-temperature versions available on request. Electric or pneumatic actuators and external position switches or sensors can be added when remote operation and position feedback are required.

A broad choice of construction materials allows the damper to be matched to gas composition, temperature and corrosion conditions. Selection should also consider differential pressure, required leakage class, duct geometry, actuation time and the thermal expansion of the surrounding installation.

For lifecycle cost, correct sizing and materials are more important than simply selecting the largest damper. A well-matched construction can reduce operating problems caused by distortion, leakage or unsuitable actuation, while service access and replaceable wear components support planned maintenance. AxFlow can help specify the correct Noval damper and support spare parts and service requirements.

Noval Dampers are used to isolate or control air and flue-gas streams in ducts and process-gas systems. Typical duties include fume exhaust, hot-gas generators and flue-gas purification. AxFlow can help confirm the required construction for the specific operating conditions.
AxFlow lists Noval Dampers from DN50 to DN2000. Round, rectangular and customer-specific constructions are available. The final dimensions should be confirmed against the duct and process specification.
Standard application data lists operation up to +650 °C. Versions for higher temperatures can be supplied on request. Material choice and construction must be checked for the actual gas temperature and cycling conditions.
Yes, the dampers can be equipped with electric or pneumatic actuators. External position switches or sensors can also be added for feedback. AxFlow can help match the actuator and feedback arrangement to the control system.
Selection should consider duct size, gas composition, temperature, pressure and required shut-off performance. Actuation, position feedback and construction materials should be specified at the same time. Contact AxFlow with the operating data for product selection and availability.
