AxFlow expands its product portfolio with CDR pumps

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Effective March 1, 2010, AxFlow becomes the exclusive distributor in Denmark of the large pump program from the Italian company CDR Pompe SpA.

CDR pumps are specially designed for pumping chemicals as well as explosive and aggressive fluids. The pumps' patented magnetic coupling system ensures leak free pumping.

CDR pumps complement AxFlow's large program of other pump types in solving transport and dosing tasks in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and general industries. "We have now expanded our product offering with centrifugal pumps. This will improve our ability to offer the best technical pump solutions and provide economical benefits for our customers", says Håkan Bjernér, Manager of Business Development, AxFlow Holding AB.

CDR magnetic driven centrifugal pumps are made from thermoplastic materials (PP, PCDF, ETFE, PFA), including a wide variety of plastic-lined models, and corrosion resistant metals (316L or Hastelloy C). The plastic lined pumps' hydraulic components are manufactured by injection molding pure thermoplastics directly into a cast iron housing. This method ensures excellent mechanical resistance and dimensional stability under demanding operating conditions. It also allows the use of pure thermoplastics, which have the best corrosion resistance. Together with the patented magnetic coupling this manufacturing method ensures that there are no leaks where toxic or hazardous fumes can escape. This minimizes the risks for environmental or occupational accidents while ensuring that valuable liquids are not going to waste.

The magnetic driven horizontal centrifugal pumps can handle both low and high pressure and capacities up to 320 m3/h. However, for pumping corrosive liquids containing crystals, dirty liquids or chemical waste, the CDR range also includes high-tech centrifugal pumps with a wide variety of standard mechanical seals. The pumps comply with chemistry standard DIN 24256, ISO 2858 and ATEX regulations.
