Description

Waukesha 320-UI is specified for process lines that require stable positive displacement transfer of viscous, shear-sensitive, abrasive or hygienic products. It is relevant in food, beverage, dairy, personal care and industrial transfer duties where stable flow, cleanability and robust operation are important. The model gives engineers a compact selection point within the Waukesha Universal 1 range when product integrity, cleaning practice and uptime are key purchasing criteria. The Universal 1 construction uses Waukesha arc-shaped rotor wings and Alloy 88 rotors to support long sealing paths, low slip and reliable transfer across low- and high-viscosity media. Bearings are kept outside the product zone, and the COP-oriented construction supports practical access to rotors, seals and wear parts during planned service. This supports consistent flow, controlled product handling and practical maintenance access in production environments where pump wear, seal condition and cleaning routines directly affect process continuity. Universal 1 is used for COP hygienic duties and the series is associated with flows up to 102 m³/h, pressures up to 13.8 bar and sizes from 1” to 6”. Key selection checks for this model include model-specific pressure and capacity data that should be checked during selection. The final duty point should also consider medium behaviour, viscosity, temperature, particles, seal arrangement, inlet conditions and cleaning method before ordering. With correct sizing and a planned spare-parts strategy, Waukesha 320-UI helps reduce unplanned downtime risk and supports predictable lifecycle-cost control. AxFlow can assist with model confirmation, availability checks, service planning and replacement-part identification for the installed configuration.
