OPW Short Range Hose Loader is used for tank-truck bottom loading where several product lines must be connected in a compact API loading envelope. Its configuration is selected around the loading geometry and transfer duty. AxFlow can help define the appropriate arrangement for a specific terminal.
The verified operating principle is that a 790 EZ Adjust torsion spring balances the arm, which is normally stored horizontally and moved only slightly up or down to align the coupler. This provides the movement or control needed at the loading point. Exact configuration depends on the installed piping and connection requirements.
OPW documents that OPW specifies 862 kPa working pressure, -29°C to 60°C operating temperature and typical reach of 1,300 to 1,778 mm; three units can fit on 533 mm centers. These values provide a basis for screening the application. Final selection must also consider the actual medium, pressure, temperature and site geometry.
Check reach, bay spacing, hose and seal requirements, feed orientation, handedness, product and API coupler arrangement. These parameters determine the suitable arm, material and connection arrangement. AxFlow can support product selection and availability checks.
AxFlow can support service and spare-parts enquiries for OPW loading equipment. The correct parts depend on the installed configuration and revision. Supplying identification details helps confirm the appropriate components before ordering.
