Abaque hoses various materials are used when hose material selection is critical for pump reliability, media compatibility and maintenance planning. The hose is the only component in contact with the pumped medium in an Abaque peristaltic hose pump, so the correct material directly affects chemical resistance, abrasion performance and service life.
Abaque hoses are made from high-quality compounded rubber, reinforced with layers of nylon and precisely machined for compression, accuracy and longevity. AxFlow can supply hose materials for common industrial and hygienic duties, helping maintenance teams replace the correct hose without changing the installed pump principle.
Available material options include Natural Rubber, Natural Rubber ATEX, NBR, NBR FDA, EPDM, EPDM ATEX and Hypalon®. AxFlow data lists pressure up to 16 bar for the hose range, while Abaque material guidance identifies NR for abrasion resistance, NBR for oily products, NBR FDA/EC 1935/2004 for hygienic applications, EPDM for concentrated acids, alcohols and ketones, and Hypalon® for oxidants, concentrated bases and acids.
Selecting the correct hose helps reduce premature wear, leakage risk and unnecessary maintenance. AxFlow can support hose material selection and availability checks for the specific medium, pump size and operating conditions.
