Apprentice Fitter

AxFlow Ltd are a pump company seeking an enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Fitter to join our busy service centre in Huddersfield.
We have the ability to handle up to 20 tonnes, which means we are able to work with the very largest of pumps from a variety of environments within our repair and maintenance division.
The 4-year Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Level 3 will cover a structured course provided by Kirklees College with support from mentors in our Northern Service Centre. On a day-to-day basis you will be with our Workshop Engineers assisting in stripping, cleaning and identifying repairs required on customer pumps and mechanical equipment. As you progress you will be involved in reporting faults and carrying out repairs and tests under supervision. You will attend college on a day release, however there is an initial block course to undertake.
This is an exciting opportunity to join and develop within our team working towards the goal of becoming a qualified Fitter. To be considered for this role you will require a minimum of a GCSE grade 4 in English, Maths and a Science or Technology subject.
