JOB TITLE: Area Sales Engineer

DEPARTMENT: External Sales

LOCATION: Southeast of England to the North of London

REPORTS TO: GB Sales Manager

 

JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsibility for selling the Technical products of the company.
  • Responsibility to represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Responsibility to increase the existing customer base within the region.

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To be able to demonstrate combined Technical knowledge with good interpersonal skills in order to explain the products advantages and answer questions.
  • To be competent in making appointments.
  • Meet agreed sales targets.
  • To develop the necessary skills to undertake pump selection and formulating of proposals to clients.
  • To be able to handle Problem solving.
  • To communicate with members of their team both internal and external.
  • To have sufficient confidence when making technical sales presentations.
  • To keep updating their records of visits/activities, using the latest company systems.
  • To ensure that their diaries are up to date and sufficiently planned in advance.
  • Continued Market Research regarding all aspects of company business.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY:-

  • Good Technical background with capacity to learn.
  • Computer literate with basic Excel & good working knowledge of Word an advantage
  • Excellent time keeping and planning ability.
  • Able to communicate with people professionally at all levels.
  • An aptitude for selling.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • To be a team player.
