JOB TITLE: Area Sales Engineer
DEPARTMENT: External Sales
LOCATION: Southeast of England to the North of London
REPORTS TO: GB Sales Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
- Responsibility for selling the Technical products of the company.
- Responsibility to represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Responsibility to increase the existing customer base within the region.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To be able to demonstrate combined Technical knowledge with good interpersonal skills in order to explain the products advantages and answer questions.
- To be competent in making appointments.
- Meet agreed sales targets.
- To develop the necessary skills to undertake pump selection and formulating of proposals to clients.
- To be able to handle Problem solving.
- To communicate with members of their team both internal and external.
- To have sufficient confidence when making technical sales presentations.
- To keep updating their records of visits/activities, using the latest company systems.
- To ensure that their diaries are up to date and sufficiently planned in advance.
- Continued Market Research regarding all aspects of company business.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY:-
- Good Technical background with capacity to learn.
- Computer literate with basic Excel & good working knowledge of Word an advantage
- Excellent time keeping and planning ability.
- Able to communicate with people professionally at all levels.
- An aptitude for selling.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- To be a team player.
