Sales Engineer

JOB TITLE: Sales Engineer F&B
JOB PURPOSE:
- To support the Sales Manager in delivering sales growth within [Industry]. Assist in managing and expanding
- key accounts, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and providing technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with clients, internal teams,
and suppliers to develop and offer technical solutions that meet customer needs and align with company objectives.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for obtaining profitable orders for project-based works and general works within the defined market sectors F&B.
- Use technical expertise and interpersonal skills to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support the development of strategic relationships with key accounts, contributing to account growth plans.
- Identify potential opportunities within existing customers to increase sales through upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention through effective account planning and relationship management.
- Support the Sales Manager to develop a pipeline of qualified opportunities in line with company growth targets.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations for customers and prospects.
- Ensure all sales activities and customer interactions are accurately recorded in the company’s systems.
- Provide feedback from the market (competitors, customer needs, industry trends) to the Sales Manager and Commercial Manager to support strategic planning.
- Attend site visits, meetings, and industry events as required to support sales activity.
- Carry out any other relevant and reasonable duties as requested by the Sales Manager or Commercial Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY: -
- Experience in mechanical engineering would be an advantage.
- Broad Technical understanding of pumps and engineering.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent time keeping and planning ability.
- Able to communicate and build relationships professionally at all levels.
- An aptitude for selling.
- To be competent in making appointments.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- To be a team player.
- Full UK driving license.
