Warehouse and Inventory Controller

JOB TITLE: Warehouse and Inventory ControlleR

LOCATION: Huddersfield

JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsible for stock management and ensure system stock reflects actual stock, at all times
  • Ensure all necessary inbound and outbound and stock activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner both physically and on ERP system

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure all inventory is correctly stored, clearly identified, correctly binned and traceable
  • Run regular / annual inventory counts. Clearly identify and research discrepancies to provide reporting.
  • To arrange collections from customers and return into the workshop using either drivers or couriers, ensuring all work is booked in and recorded.
  • To ensure pumps are packed and despatched using either drivers or couriers. Provision of assistance with loading where necessary
  • Fleet Management/monitoring. Ensure all pool vans are booked out and returned to AxFlow standards, making notes on any damage or repairs.
  • Manage transfers between warehouses and UK bases
  • Manage quarantine stock
  • Work with team and Supply Chain & Logistics Manager on improvement / efficiency projects
  • Provide reports to Base Manager & Supply Chain & Logistics Manager around KPI and other targets.
  • Achieve / Define internal and externally agreed service levels (SLA)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY: -

  • Previous warehouse experience utilising a Warehouse Management System or ERP system
  • Computer literate with basic Excel & good working knowledge of Word
  • Understanding of all aspects of stock control
  • Previous Forklift experience
  • Experience in returns and reverse logistics such as Return Material Authorisation (RMA) (desirable)
  • Experience in reorganisation of warehouse spaces for maximum efficiency/utilisation (desirable)
