Pumping of adhesives, glue and wax

When it comes to pumping adhesive, glue, wax, acrylic, and other viscous, quickly curing substances, internal gear pumps are utilized. Manufacturer Viking Pump has developed specially equipped gear pumps for these applications, widely used in the production of paper, cardboard, pulp, adhesives, chemicals, and cosmetic products.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF SPECIALLY DESIGNED INTERNAL GEAR PUMPS?

Viking Pump's BXB series internal gear pumps are specifically designed for pumping adhesive, glue, wax, acrylic, and similar substances. These pumps feature a durable cast housing and precision-engineered components with minimal clearances.

With different sizes, connection options, and features such as heating jackets and relief valves, these gear pumps can be customized according to individual requirements.

The key feature of Viking Pump's gear pumps is the double-acting O-ring seal, O-PRO, capable of withstanding pressure peaks and completely preventing leaks.

  • Resilient components for long service life
  • Numerous connection options and features
  • Leak-free shaft sealing

WHAT SHAFT SEALING IS USED IN ADHESIVE PUMPS?

The specially developed O-PRO shaft seal operates with two O-rings arranged along the shaft, with the space between them filled with lubricating fluid. This ensures a completely leak-free seal.

This sealing principle combines the simple maintenance of a traditional gland packing with the leak-free properties of more costly shaft seals.

The resilient components and temperature-resistant O-rings reliably handle demanding applications. The O-PRO shaft seal is easily accessible for maintenance and straightforward to handle. Due to reduced cleaning efforts and greater operational reliability, the pump can operate with long service intervals and high reliability.
