APV LR2 is selected for process duties where reliable heat transfer influences product quality, utility consumption and plant capacity. The model can be considered for heating, cooling, heat recovery or condensation according to the selected configuration and media. The corrugated plate channels create a large heat-transfer surface in a compact unit, promoting turbulence and efficient thermal exchange. The welded construction supports duties where temperature, pressure or media compatibility place higher demands on the heat exchanger. Correct thermal sizing is required to control pressure drop and approach temperature. For this model, the available performance data specifies a stated maximum pressure of 30 bar, a stated operating range of -38 to 200 °C. Final selection must also consider media composition, fouling tendency, design temperature, design pressure, connection arrangement and allowable pressure drop.
