Description

APV Gaulin 55 is applied when a product requires controlled particle-size reduction, emulsion stability, dispersion or cell disruption. It is relevant to food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetic and chemical processes where product consistency and repeatability matter. The homogeniser forces product through a precisely controlled valve gap at high pressure, converting pressure energy into turbulence and shear. The pump and homogenising valve configuration are selected for the required capacity, pressure and product properties. One- or two-stage valve arrangements can be considered according to the required product result. For this model, the available performance data specifies a stated maximum capacity of 16000 l/h, a stated maximum pressure of 600 bar. The final selection must also consider viscosity, abrasiveness, feed conditions, temperature, hygienic requirements and the required particle-size result. Correct pressure and valve selection helps achieve the target product quality without unnecessary energy or component loading. Planned maintenance of valves, seals, plungers and wear parts protects repeatability and uptime. AxFlow can support sizing, service and spare parts planning.
