How AODD PUMPS WORK

AODD pumps operate through the repeated back-and-forth motion between two flexible diaphragms positioned on a shaft. Operation depends on the ready availability of a clean compressed air supply and is restricted to pumping fluids at pressures at or below that of the available air supply. Such pumps are highly capable of handling abrasive, high viscosity fluids, sludges, slurries, and shear-sensitive fluids.

The action of an AODD pump produces pulses in the discharge. Vibrations that are created from the pulsing discharge may also be a source of noise, as can the constant venting of compressed air by the distribution system.
